Steve Lipofsky

Vice President of Development

Steve serves as the Vice President of Development at Blackfin, overseeing all phases of project management and construction for new development projects. His primary responsibilities include selecting and qualifying consultants and contractors, site evaluation, budget preparation, due diligence, planning and design, permitting and approvals, construction management, and tenant turnover. Before joining Blackfin, Steve was the Director of Project Management and Engineering at Mister Car Wash (MCW) until April 2024, where he led a team of up to 9 project managers across the U.S. to develop the company’s greenfield pipeline, which included up to 150 active projects. He also created and refined development and site standards, processes, and SOPs. Steve joined MCW after their acquisition of Clean Streak Ventures in late 2021, where he was the Vice President of Development. At Clean Streak, Steve managed a rapidly growing car wash platform with approximately 23 operational car washes and 11 projects in various development stages. Previously, Steve was the Director of Retail Construction Services at The Ferber Company, managing all phases of their development projects. His civil engineering and consulting experience includes roles as Branch Manager/Project Manager with CPH, Inc., and Project Manager/Project Engineer with Stillwater Technologies, Inc.

Steve has extensive experience in the planning, design, and permitting of commercial land development projects throughout Florida and the Southeastern U.S. He is a registered Florida Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Steve resides in South Florida with his wife and two children.
